Light Power Assists with SAB Award 

Sustainable Building and Architecture Magazine has announced the winners for their 2009 SAB Canadian Green Building Awards. Among the 6 recognized projects was Dockside Green in Victoria, BC, Canada.

Light Power is proud to have not only helped Dockside Green achieve LEED Platinum certification through the use of the Maria recessed fixture, but also to now achieve the SAB Green Building Award.

Street Lighting, City of Vancouver

BC Women's and Children's Hospital has upgraded its street lighting to our LED products, reducing their greenhouse gas emissions and improving the quality of their on-site lighting by 150%. Their energy costs have decreased by 70%.

Light Power's LED parking lot lights provide a natural colour of light. The vibrant greens of the trees and the grass under the LED fixtures stand in stark contrast to the orange hue cast by the conventional high-pressure sodium light to the right of the tree.

Mental Health Clinic, Vancouver

Light Power's walkway lights are engineered to direct lighting where it is needed: onto the sidewalk. Pedestrians comment that they now feel "very safe" in the area at night.

Discovery Green, Houston, Texas

The Discovery Green fountain showcases Light Power's maintenance-free underwater LED fixtures, perfect for underwater and difficult-to-access conditions and designed to withstand the demands of permanent installation in chlorinated water.
